I found a site that students made that was about whitewater rafting. It was really cool because all the students use their knowledge about whitewater rafting. Then also they will go look up material on the internet that will help them put information on the wiki that it doesn't already have on it. This will help in group discussions and get all the kids involved. I like the way wikis work because everyone can get involved. The different ways I will use the wiki to help me to teach sports related material and help me to see how much my students know about certain sports. It will be really fun if I had a sport and I told all my students to do a report on the sport. Then after they all finish their report have them work on a wiki together because in their report they are going to more than likely have different information in there.

What is Media?

Media devices are becoming so readily used by everyone that when you use a computer to search the internet or use your ipod is just like using the microwave. If people do not stay up with the technology they might get left behind and it might be hard for them to get a job. Generation digital is using the new technology that we are coming up with.
A media that I am going to use that I haven't considered using yet is playing music while my physical education students do their drills and play their games. Another media I am going to use is video of athletes performing skills so my students can get a visual picture of what they need to do.
Media is going to influence my methods by making it easier for me to teach skills by showing videos and also make it more fun by listening to music. Since I am a physical education teacher, I need to show or tell my students how to do things. This is why I will use audio, visuals, video, and people to communicate what I want to my students and that they will be able to learner better.
